It is undeniable that VLC has more capabilities than just playing videos, one of which is that we can rotate the video we are playing 90, 180 or 270 degrees. It's complicated, right? You use Indonesian to say "rotate" plus "rotate" again.. the use of this word is really confusing, kwkwk...
Okay, the important thing is that you understand, what's more interesting is that we can also flip the video display to a horizontal or vertical perspective, isn't that cool, you don't need to bother editing it in overkill applications such as Adobe Premiere, Blender, and other pro video editors.. it's great, right?
Okay, no need to beat around the bush.. just follow the instructions below.
1]. Open the tools menu > effects and filters, or you can also use the shortcut CTRL+E
2]. In the adjustment and effects dialog, please click the video effects tab.
3]. Next, click the geometry tab.
4]. Pay attention to the checkbox on the left side, please check transform.
Rotate by fixed angle , this feature will be active after you check transform. Please use it if you want to apply the standard rotation degree of 90, 180 or 270 degrees.
Flip video , this feature is to flip your video display to a vertical or horizontal perspective.
Rotate by certain angle , this feature is to rotate your video to a certain degree that is more specific, for example 34, 23, 185, etc. You will be shown a preview too, so don't worry.
5]. Save Changes. Once you have gone through the steps, don’t forget to save them.
Please go to the media menu > convert/save, or you can also use the shortcut CTRL+R.
Then click add.
Then click convert/save.
The video profile setting dialog will appear, in the video codec tab, activate the video transformation filter, while in the audio codec tab, adjust it as shown in the following image.
Finally, click save and you're done, enjoy playing the video.
