1. Pixel (Dot) Defect
- Bright Dot is a bright Dot/Pixel when the screen is permanently dark.
- Black/dark Dot is a black/dark Dot/pixel when the screen is in a constant bright condition.
2. Line Defect
- Vertical Line Defect
- Horizontal Line Defect
- Cross Line Defect
3. Block Defect
- Data Block Defect
- Gate Block Defect
Conclusion
- The damage is in the Inverter Unit and Backlight
- When a problem occurs in the Backlight section of the AQUOS LCD TV, it will experience "Protect" (the TV will turn on for a moment then turn off and return to standby position).
- Usually some of the fluorescent lamps are dead, check the transformer (in the inverter unit) on the part of the lamp that is dead.
- In some cases physically, the transformer appears to be burned. If the Inverter is OK, check the Fluorescent lights.
