I was happy to hear the news that my name was included in the list of Selected Participants in Google Developer Kejar 2018 Batch 1 Kotlin on Android Category.
Who would have thought that this was the main trigger for my career journey as a professional Android Developer until now. At first, it was just a whim to fill my free time after graduating until finally… huhuhu I was really touched, I didn’t expect that my fortune would be to become an Android Developer because I graduated from Dicoding, just imagine if at that time I didn’t have a certificate from Dicoding, 99.99% I would have become a Web Dev or SEO Specialist.
It was a good start when I could have a coding certificate, because during my travels attending interviews, they were only interested in the certificate compared to my abundant work experience or my thesis, they even talked a lot about Android, even though I was not applying for that profession, I was actually surprised.
Until an opportunity came where one of the startups in Jogja gave me a choice at that time, whether I wanted to be in Web Dev, SEO Specialist or Android Dev. Even though administratively at that time I applied as an SEO Specialist, but for some reason the inspiration that God gave me was to choose Android Dev.
Long story short, those opportunities, chances and small goals brought me to where I am today, the point where I have reached a level of confidence to be able to enjoy and be responsible for my role as an Android Developer Pro.
