Scientifically methodologically, there are 3 ways to set aside non-experimental factors:
1. Physically Set Aside
That is conducting experiments in the laboratory, remember! the definition of a laboratory is broad, not only around physics, chemistry, biology, or electronics. Laboratories are also owned by other fields of science, such as in observing the characteristics of a child who is put into a glass room, and there are various games, then a psychology expert observes the reaction of each child, in this case made the subject of the experiment by isolating them.
2. Set Aside Selectively
Namely the identification, data collection, categorization stages, where the working methods are also continuously monitored, followed and their impacts monitored.
3. Set Aside By Statistical Manipulation
That is the stage of researcher intervention to find out the desired factors/reactions. Example: A group of children in the laboratory are given certain toys, then the attitude of each child is the same, some are different. The next stage is given different toys, and shows different attitudes. for example, if a boy is given a puzzle, some can solve it, if a girl is given one that is made for the market, for example, or there are other children who follow suit. This is information for a psychologist.
Case Example. A lecturer lends books to class A but not to class B, after 1 year the researcher conducts data analysis.
What is Researched?
If we answer this question, it means we are explaining about the research object: Education, Family, Health, Military, Industry, or other possibilities. The scope of the research object is everything related to education, both those that occur in schools, outside of schools, and the relationship between the two. Education carried out in the family is also an interesting object of educational research. Research that is based on problems in schools aims to increase the effectiveness of teaching and learning programs in order to achieve maximum learning achievement.
This research can involve; curriculum, teachers, non-teaching personnel, management, educational facilities, financing, educational institutions and so on. The same goal is to increase learning achievement. Things outside of school that can influence can also be used as research support.
For the industrial world, expanding market share is a very important object to study. For example, an aluminum factory in Pittsburgh, United States, although it has had a large market for decades, always tries to maintain the market and continues to conduct research to find places that can be used as markets.
