Let me explain my opinion about Marvel Cinema. I haven't watched all of its films, so let say this is just a temporary opinion.
Well, let me start from the clues of all the stories that exist, definitely "Captain Marvel 2019". This film marks the beginning of the superhero group called The Avengers.
Tesseract is there, this is one proof and the name of the avengers was inspired by warplane owned "Carol Danvers" aka "Vers" aka "Captain Marvel" (1 word "marvel" not "mar-vel").
The reason Nick Fury's eyes are stylish like pirates is also revealed here. He is the head of a secret agent named SHIELD. The acronym originally stood for "Supreme Headquarters International Espionage & Law-Enforcement Division". It was changed in 1991 to “Strategic Hazard Intervention Espionage Logistics Directorate”, and then the backronym stands for “Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement & Logistics Division”.
In Nick Fury's script, whether it's a proposal or a report, I'm sure he changed the title to “The Avengers Initiative”, it's a response team comprised of the must able individuals humankind has to offer. The initiative will defend the earth from imminent global threats that are beyond the warfighting capability of convention. This makes sense when Vers upgrades his communication tools so it is able to reach space and several galaxies. This is necessary because at the end of the story Captain Marvel took the Skrull people to another planet that was not reached by the Kree people.
Mar-Vell (2 words) aka Dr. Wendy Lawson taught the values of human rights, even though she was a dissident or traitor soldier but her aim was noble. She was a warrior of the kree nation from Hala (planet). She was specifically assigned to develop a device with the speed of light. Her nation wants a big war to eradicate the skrull nation but her heart refused that, she loved peace, so she once said to Carol's best friend while on Earth (planet-C53) "the tool's speed of light is not for war but for stopping war", so it's no wonder that she betrayed her people. This is the essence of the marvel films vision. “No Mar-Vell, No Civilization”!
APPENDIX
No wonder if Marvel films are full of a big war because marvel history reveals that the label was discovered before world war 2 and the only way sarcasm at that time was with comics, and Marvel Comics had a big influence. So it doesn't hurt if I make an acronym for the word “MARVEL”, it's
“More than Avenger Rule, Value, Entertainment, and Label”.
There are several dimensions in the film, such as:
HALA, it's the capital of Kree civilization.
SUPREME INTELLIGENCE, it's a kind of artificial intelligence laboratory to brainwash Captain Marvel.
TORFA, it's a Kree border planet inhabited by the Torfan people.
C53 (EARTH), it's a planet where we and Nick Fury live.
