Hamzah is the nickname of an entrepreneur with the full name Hamzah Izzulhaq, Hamzah is an example of a young entrepreneur who is successful in building a franchise or in Indonesian it is called a franchise, which is a method in the distribution system of goods or services, he is also a Director at CV Hamasa which is engaged in the field of sofa bed crafts.
Hamzah was born into a simple middle-class family. His father worked as a lecturer while his mother was a junior high school teacher. Economically, Hamzah was not lacking, he always received pocket money from his parents, but because he was driven by a desire to be independent and have more pocket money, Hamzah was willing to spend his free time in junior high school to earn income together with his friends who were economically underprivileged.
- Name: Hamzah Izzulhaq
- Date of Birth: April 26, 1993
- Place of Birth: Jakarta
- Occupation : Franchise Entrepreneur CEO Hamasa Indonesia Corp.
- Nationality: Indonesian
- Residence: Jakarta
- Elementary School (SD) Period
He has started learning business since he was in 5th grade of elementary school by selling various games such as marbles, firecrackers, and various games that are very popular with children, not only that, he also sold newspapers, umbrella taxi services when it rains and busked with his friends. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends from the poor or lower middle class, because they were not embarrassed or ashamed to be invited to busk or sell newspapers. He and his friends did it secretly without his parents' knowledge, so his skills in earning money continued until junior high school.
Junior High School (SMP) Period
During junior high school he liked to play at the internet cafe so that the pocket money given by his parents was not enough so from there he started to earn his own money. His hobby in playing online games turned out to produce rupiah value too, because he often reached the highest level in a game, then when he had reached the highest game level, he sold his account to his friends or opponents online, from this hobby he once sold a level or for one game account worth Rp 1.2 million.
High School (SMA) Period
Starting to grow up at the age of 18 or when he was still in high school, Hamzah had started to pioneer a serious business in the field of selling credit and school books every semester by lobbying his uncle who happened to work at a large bookstore in Jakarta to become a distributor with a discount of 30% per book. He then sold the book to his friends and seniors, the strategy he did was to give them a 10% discount, so that from his efforts Hamzah got a profit of 20% from each book he successfully sold and if calculated his income for 1 semester is Rp950,000, - as a high school student in my opinion (the author) this is truly extraordinary.
After Hamzah felt that he had enough capital from his business at school, he tried to make a breakthrough in the credit counter, but unfortunately, within 3 months it went bankrupt due to several factors such as his friends who often used credit but did not pay, and he also often felt that his credit was often used up by himself, so at that time he felt down, but in the end he got back up after reading business books and motivational self-development of an entrepreneur.
From the rest of his savings, Hamzah used it to sell credit again and bought a pin-making tool when he was in 2nd grade of high school, but he still suffered losses from his business, because he did not master the technique of making pins, so many of his productions failed and his father was furious.
Hamzah did not give up and returned to reflect on his mistakes and read the biographies of big businessmen, not long after that he sold bread snacks and made a profit of 5 million and after that he met a business partner who sold a Bimbel Franchise for 175 million but Hamzah did not have that much money then he had to borrow from his father who was a lecturer but his father lent him 70 million which should have been used to buy a car. Hamzah lobbied to pay 75 million first and the remaining 100 million to be paid in installments.
From there, his business grew rapidly so that Hamzah had 3 tutoring licenses. He earned a turnover of Rp360 million / 6 months from 200 students with a profit of around Rp180 million / 6 months. After successfully managing the business, Hamzah then developed his business by looking at the sofa bed business, until now, Hamzah's business has been officially incorporated under the name CV Hamasa Indonesia. He officially became a young director at a sofa craft company after graduating from high school in 2011, his turnover now reaches Rp100 million per month.
Factors Supporting Hamzah's Success
1. Join an entrepreneur community
The offer of a tutoring franchise also came because Hamzah and his colleagues diligently attended Community of Motivators and Entrepreneurs meetings.
2. Take Over
Franchise tutoring and sofabed, two sources of Hamzah's money now are businesses that did not start from zero. But he has bought a system that has been proven to work.
3. Talk Less Do More
What makes Hamzah or this young entrepreneur different from other senior entrepreneurs is because he immediately took action quickly, in this case he applied the concept of learning by doing, so he was faster in learning and mastering the pattern and field, but he was also aware of the risks he would face. Not without reason, what drove Hamzah to dare to take this greater risk was because he had received business encouragement from books and seminars he attended. However, when others usually stopped their enthusiasm after the seminar ended, Hamzah dared to go straight into the field even though he only did small things like what he had done when he was still in school.
4. Improve your relationship with God and your parents
This may be personal, but it is proven that by maintaining his relationship with God and his parents, just imagine, if Hamzah was not a child who was devoted to his parents, of course he could not have borrowed 70 million from his father which was previously used to buy a car.
