Before I begin my nostalgia journey with memories from eight years ago, I would like to briefly explain the term "Resort." A resort is a place for relaxation or recreation, designed to attract visitors for a holiday. It can also refer to a location, town, or sometimes a commercial building operated by a company.
Now, for some reason, when my boss asked for a photo of me to be published in the company profile, I found myself digging through my Facebook gallery, even though I hadn’t been active on Facebook for a long time—almost two years, in fact.
Unintentionally, the process of going through the gallery, photo by photo, stirred up my emotions, as each photo reminded me of the time it was taken. One of these photos is from Palm Springs Beach, located at Jl. Hang Lekiu, Sambau, Nongsa, Sambau, Batam, Kota Batam, Kepulauan Riau 29465. It was taken during a family picnic event I held with my extended family from the Muka Kuning religious group, a place where I nurtured my faith in the One Almighty God.
Suddenly, I miss them all, but as the saying goes, "What’s past is past." I will cherish the memories that remain.
