Who would have thought that I would meet people with such a variety of personalities, skills, and backgrounds?
Being bombarded by seasonal assignments from one of the educational institutions in Jogja bonded us in shared stress, driving us to seek mood-healing in nature!
College life is a time when our youthful spirit burns brightly, even though there's quite a gap in age among us. Yet, because we are united by the same challenges and responsibilities in college, we share a common sense of euphoria whenever we conquer our exams.
In short, we celebrated our victory by going on an adventure to Gunung Andong. But unexpectedly, on our way back after the hike, we were mesmerized by pine trees glowing in shades of green and yellow. As we ventured closer to explore it, we were left in awe. WOW… it was extraordinary.
Here it is—we present "The Hidden Gems in Magelang!"
The Mangli Forest Tourism area is arguably the most recommended place to refresh your mind and body after a tiring hike on Gunung Andong or Telomoyo.
This location is not far from the hiking trail. If you are using GPS, you can follow these coordinates to reach Mangli:

Or, if not, head north from Secang until you reach the Krincing intersection. Look for a sign pointing to Grabag, turn right, and continue straight until you reach the Grabag market intersection. Then take the eastward route towards Ngasinan village. Once there, you’ll be in the Ngablak sub-district area—just follow the signs to Mangli.
The spot we explored is located above the Mangli Forest Tourism area and is not yet managed as a tourist site, so it’s entirely natural and free of charge. But if you're more interested in the Mangli Forest Tourism area, a fee of only Rp.5000 grants you access to its facilities—though you won’t find the waterfall there.
