The Charm of Al-Aqsa Grand Mosque in Klaten (CAGMK)

This mosque serves as a silent witness to our presence in the city of Klaten, specifically at the Al-Aqsa Grand Mosque. We intentionally paused our journey here to prioritize worship before continuing on our long trip to Malang.

We have visited this mosque twice on different occasions. The first was during our travels to Malang's tourist attractions, and the second was while visiting attractions in Klaten.

Many other Muslims from various parts of Java also take the time to visit here, primarily to pray, though there is certainly a special appeal to worshiping in such a remarkable mosque. How do we know they come from cities beyond Klaten? It’s apparent from the license plates on the vehicles they park.

Don’t worry; there are no parking attendants here, only a donation box placed near the exit. You can contribute as you wish, and if you don’t, that's alright too. However, it would be quite unfortunate if you couldn’t contribute at all, especially considering that people can travel here but can’t donate to support the mosque's operations. Don’t embarrass yourself before Allah SWT.

The Regent of Klaten, Sri Hartini, hopes that the Al-Aqsa Mosque can be a source of goodness for the residents of the "City of Light." Residents are encouraged to enrich the mosque by worshiping and holding religious activities there.
