Rest Area Pendopo KM 456B Solo-Semarang (SRA456BSS)

It all started with the big boss feeling bored in the office workspace. Unsurprisingly, the employees were invited to WFA (work from anywhere). We were taken to a cozy spot in Central Java near Ungaran and made a quick stop here first to use the restroom and grab some snacks at Rest Area Pendopo KM 456B on the Solo-Semarang Toll Road.

This is truly a massive rest area, possibly the largest in Indonesia. It features a bridge connecting two rest areas over the toll road, numerous shops and restaurants, and plenty of clean toilets. It feels more like a mall than a rest area to me, almost like a small mini-mall. Overall, it’s a great and spacious rest area.

The rest area stands out with its mall-like buildings and facilities. The mosque and toilets here are also clean. There are many dining options to enjoy, and if you want to shop, there are plenty of stores, including factory outlets offering various promotions. However, it’s unfortunate that during the pandemic, such a great place feels empty and quiet.

This rest area also has a connecting bridge to the neighboring rest area across the toll road, allowing visitors to enjoy the facilities there as well. The scenery around the rest area is stunning, with expansive rice fields stretching in all directions.
