Passing Through Desa Wisata Kebangsaan (PTDWK)

The National Tourism Village is located in Situbondo Regency, East Java. This tourism village was officially inaugurated on Saturday, May 2, 2015, in Wonorejo Village, Banyuputih District. In addition to the enthusiastic participation of local residents and the surrounding community, the event was attended by the Secretary of the East Java Provincial Tourism and Culture Office (Mr. Handoyo), the Regent of Situbondo, neighboring district leaders (from Banyuwangi, Bondowoso, Jember, Probolinggo, Pasuruan), as well as all heads of Regional Work Units (SKPD) and their staff across Situbondo Regency.

Why is it Called the National Tourism Village?

The village’s strategic location lies between Baluran National Park and Ketapang Port, which serves as a crossing point between Java and Bali. This location often makes it a temporary stopover for both local and international tourists. The village offers many homestays with comfortable and adequate facilities.

However, we did not stay overnight in this tourism village. Instead, the GETER team decided to continue the journey to Bali.
