Finally, the GETER team arrived at the Paiton Steam Power Plant Unit. This plant is located in the power generation complex in Paiton District, Probolinggo Regency, along the northern coastal route between Surabaya and Banyuwangi. The plant contributes a power supply capacity of 2500 MW.
This location also offers a fascinating view due to its strategic position near the northern coast of Java, which allows it to have its own dock for coal tankers arriving from Kalimantan. This coal is the main fuel used to generate steam. The scenery left us in awe, so we decided to take a short break and capture some photos.
