Creating Flash Animation Assets Using Adobe Applications. Many of us are familiar with GIFs – we see them all over the web in the form of viral cat clips or those annoying blinking banner ads on the side of our screens. In 99designs contests, the most common form is animated banner ads.

GIF, or "Graphics Interchange Format," is a compressed image file format. They have broad support and portability, and the ability to compress files effectively, making them easy to transmit across various internet platforms. However, they tend to lack the color depth of high-quality photos because their palette is limited to about 256 colors.

The main purpose of GIF files is to create a simple compressed file with the illusion of video animation without the need for a viewer to press the "play" button or deal with large video files that take longer to load. In this tutorial, we will show you how to create GIFs in Flash and Photoshop CS5.

Not stopping there, since our group consists of six members, we decided to divide the tasks to save time. Some members worked on creating different hysterical characters, some handled the narrative, others worked on the background sound, others on the intro and ending, and some were responsible for the finishing touches.

Narrative Intro

  1. SCRIPT
    One day, Kang Sigit’s phone rang, and when he picked it up, it was from his new crush. It could be the future second wife of his, her name is Siiitul.

  2. SCRIPT
    Situl is a spoiled person, her smile is sweet, her lips captivating, her body is amazing, making Kang Sigit fall for her.

  3. SCRIPT
    However, something kept them apart and they rarely met because Situl decided to work overseas as an overseas worker.

Scene Revisions:

Scene of the spirit signaling Situl’s character is over.
The ghost scene by the river introduces a new character, a terrorizer of Kang Sigit during his bathroom breaks. The scenario involves Kang Sigit receiving a call from an unknown number, which turns out to be from the ghost.
The confession scene is cut (not used), so when Kang Sigit runs away, it’s the end of everything (animation).

How to Do It

It’s simple. Just open Photoshop, then click on the menu view >> timelines. From here, you can express yourself using the layer timelines. You can download the example:
