There's an art trend that's really popular right now called WPAP, which stands for Wedha's Pop Art Portrait. It's named after its creator, Wedha Abdul Rasyid, a graphic artist from Indonesia who's known as the founder of this style, also known as FMB. He's been in the illustration world since the 1970s.
As usual, towards the end of the year, it's common for both private and public institutions to showcase their best works, and it just so happens that the institution I work for asked me to take on this kind of task. Honestly, I don't really have that kind of skill, so whenever I'm faced with something related to art, I easily get stressed or even get a migraine. Art requires a lot of inspiration, innovation, and high-level imagination, which is understandable because my world is more about logic—totally different from the creative side. But I tried my best to make use of whatever potential I have.
Thankfully, I managed to finish it in just one day. The hardest part of this was combining the right colors, because if you randomly pick colors for WPAP, it can look weird or even completely ruin the piece. I changed the color schemes a few times (yeah, still learning), which is why it took me about six hours to finish. I had to keep tweaking the details and changing the colors to get it just right. Here's what it looked like before:
If any of you are interested in the design and want to modify it, feel free! I’m more than happy to share the framework. You can develop or tweak it however you like.
