Designed in 2013, this jacket celebrates the bond among team members, with its vibrant red color and circuit board-inspired graphics that reflect the team's technical roots. The front showcases the iconic "Test Mania" label, while the back features a detailed PCB-inspired design with symbols representing each group in the department. A perfect memento for a unique team, combining style and a nod to the high-tech world they worked in together.
Memories of Batam 2013, LATFISE Jacket - Test Mania
Hello "Test Mania," the beloved nickname of the Test Department family at a well-known semiconductor company in Batam. Within the Test Department, there were four groups or work teams: X, Y, Z, and Normal. These teams rotated and filled each shift continuously, except for the Normal shift, which operated on a regular schedule from Monday to Friday, morning to evening.
The camaraderie among the Test Mania crew was not limited to work hours; outside of work, their bond was even stronger—whether they were single or coupled up.
As our contracts neared their end, around mid-March 2013, most friends wanted a memento before we all went our separate ways. To my surprise (and slight dread), I was voted in—largely thanks to the ladies, "ciahayyy"—to design the commemorative jacket for 2013. Maybe they couldn’t resist my charm… just kidding!
Truthfully, I was quite a novice with computers back then; I had only recently gotten a laptop, and I was clueless about both software and hardware. But necessity pushed me to install Photoshop, and thus, I created my first-ever design as a true amateur! Coming from a PCB (Printed Circuit Board) background as a former designer and a Sentry Technician, it’s no wonder my design was inspired by PCB elements. Not my best, but I gave it my all.
So, farewell to the "Test Team." It was a pleasure working with you all, and I wish each of you continued success. Thank you!
